CBSE has recently published the CBSE Schools Filmmaking Competition 2015 with the theme of ”Marvels of North East India”.
Basically it is a short film making competition which is organised by the CBSE in order to create the awareness in all desired and talented students. The main motive behind this film making is to create and awaking the culture and traditions of the north eastern people who are residing in the north eastern regions in the country.
This short film making competition will assist all those students who understands the art of living as well as the culture of the different people who are living in the north eastern regions of the country and it will definitely work towards the stimulation of the student’s Compassion, Creativity and Critical Thinking capability.
CBSE Schools FilmMaking Competition 2015 is open for all those students who are studying in CBSE affiliated schools and all these students are suggested to make a film of maximum 5 minutes on any of the given topics.
- The closing date for submission of entries is 20th February, 2015
- All those selected entries will be go for the screen test at the CBSE Schools FilmMaking Competition 2015 festival which is conducted by CBSE itself and it will be going to held in the month of April 2015.
- All those students who are studying under CBSE affiliated schools in all over India are eligible to participate in the competition.
- All students are informed that they can submit their entries in English or in any of the 22 Indian scheduled languages before the closing date.
CBSE Short Film Making Competition 2015 Reward
There will be distribution of cash reward among the winners and the top 3 selected entries will win the following cash prizes
- 1st Prize Cash reward of Rs 10,000/-
- 2nd Prize: Cash reward of Rs 7,500/-
- 3rd Prize: Cash reward of Rs 5,000/-
Screening of the Film
All the selected entries will be go for the screen test at the festival organized by the CBSE. The director of the film or a representative is required to attend the screening.
Application Procedure of CBSE Short Film Making Competition 2015:
Those who participate in the short film competition are requested to download the application form which is given below and then you are required to send the filled application along with the recorded short film CD. All the important guidelines & the topics of the participation in the competition are furnished below.
Guidelines for participating in the Competition
- How to Shoot the Short Film
All the talented and eligible students are required to shoot the film either through a handy cam/ dslr/digital camera/ mobile phones etc or through any other mode but please ensure that the submission process will be done via CD.
$$> This is to inform all the students that the films should be produced between 2012 to 2015 by the students submitting the entry.
$$> All desired students are required to submit their entries in English or in any of the 22 Indian languages on any of the given topic.
$$> The Maximum time limit of the film is 5 minutes only.
$$> The entries which contain non-English content/dialogues must have English subtitles.
$$> All the entries should be 100% original.
$$> All the CBSE affiliated schools are informed that they can send multiple entries.

<#> Your completely filled CBSE Short Film Competition Entry Form.
<#> CD which contains the short film.
<#> A copy of the recorded film on DVD in .avi format.
<#> A letter which has to be Signed and containing the permission from school higher authorities.
<#> An attested letter signed by the school principal.
Please Note: All students are requested that they can also shoot films on mobile phones. But entries are to be made on CD and DVD.
All the Students are informed that can be disqualified from the competition if:
<&> Their application form is filled incomplete or having incorrect details.
<&> The entries contain incomplete documents.
<&> Their film contains inappropriate material.
<&> The submissions process is not made in according to the prescribed format.
<&> The entries contain copied content.
<&> Or if the Entries sent after the due date will be also be disqualified.
Selection Procedure of CBSE Short Film Making Competition 2015:
<**> The students are informed that the recorded films will be judged and selected by a panel of judges.
<**> The last and final decisions of the jury will not change under any circumstances.
