: All India Children’s Educational (CIET) Audio Video Festival 2015

20th All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival 2015 has recently announced organised by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT  for all ages people.
This competition is open for all age group and it has main aim for showcasing the best audio & Visual Programmes which is produced for teachers and children.
All the participant needs to create their audio/video/ new media of maximum 30 minutes of duration and it must address / based on the children between 5 to 18 years OR on their teachers. The content must belonged about children of different cultures and backgrounds. 

Here are the different categories are:

  • For Primary School Students: Class 1-5
  • For Upper Primary School Students: Class 6-8
  • For Secondary School Students: Class 9-10
  • For Senior Secondary School Students: Class 11-12
  • For Teachers (of students from any of the above categories)

New Media:

 The New media category is not available for the audio programmes and it contains the self-contained media programmes as websites or in interactive multimedia format and can be made for the school students or teachers.
The audio/video topic can be made on any topic or theme but it should be addressed the selected category.

This Audio Visual Festival is open for all the creative producers who want to contribute their significance into the process of broadening of horizon of children and teachers through audio and video programmes. 

  • All candidates are informed that they can submit their entries for 1 category only.
  • The closing date to submit the entries is 25th February, 2015.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • The candidate who wish to participate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The eligible participants may belongs to any age group.
  • The Audio & Video Programme should be produced between st November 1, 2013 and 25th February, 2015.

All those candidates who wish to participate in the 20th All India Children’s educational Audio Video Festival 2015 will win cash prizes according to their performance. All the best entry in each of the sub-categories will win a cash reward in the following prescribed format:

Cash Reward will be given for best submission in each category.

All the eligible and talented participants are informed that they can submit their entries for only 1 category. For the various or multiple entries, the candidates are required to fill separate Registration Forms.

20th All India Children’s Educational Festival 2015 Application Process

Registration Fee: 

The fees charge for registration process will be Rs. 200

Guidelines to Submit the Entry:

  • All the participants are required to submit their entries for one category only.
  • All the entries must be in CD/DVD format in the highest resolution which is possible.
  • The time duration of the Audio or Video should not be more than 30 minutes.
  • If any of the entry is present in any of other language besides  English/Hindi,langauge then the entry must contain English/Hindi subtitles.
  • All the candidates are informed that they must fill separate entry forms for Audio/Video/New Media programmes.

Reasons for Disqualification:

The entries will be disqualified if the entry contains:

  • Obscene, violent, abusive content supporting/advocating gender/culture/racial/religious bias.
  • If the entries containing the technical problems or glitches.
  • Entries which are in languages other than English/Hindi but do not have subtitles will be rejected at the same time.
  • Those entries which have other content  than the categories mentioned above will be disqualified at that time.

Important Steps to Fill the Registration Form:

  • Candidate is required to download the Registration Form which is in the Microsoft Word format.
  • After that you are required to fill in the required details regarding your Audio/Video/new Media entry.
  • Also you need to fill your personal and academic details carefully.
  • Al last you need to save the file.

Submission Process of the Registration Form

  • First of all the candidate is required to take a print out copy of the Registration form.
  • The candidate is suggested that the registration Form should be sent along with the CD/DVD and a demand draft of Rs 200 which has to be made in favour of “Joint Director, CIET, NCERT payable at New Delhi to the following address:

  • Each entry must  contain an undertaking by the producer of the programme in regard to the production date. The selected entry will be disqualified by the jury if the undertaking is not enclosed.

Points to Remember

  • CIET will retain a copy of the entry.
  • CIET holds the right to telecast/broadcast the winning entries.
  • The dates and rules of the competition can be revised by CIET.

20th All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival 2015 Selection Process

  • All the entries will be selected by the concerned Shortlisting Committee on the following criteria which is given below:
    • Appeal: The content must be appealing.
    • Creativity: The content must be highly creative and should demonstrated in the high artistic skills.
    • Technical Skills: The candidates are informed that their content should be demonstrate in outstanding technical skills.
  • The list of shortlisted candidates will then be judged by a panel of judges.
  • The decision of the jury will be final and it will not be changed undr any situation.
