Every student taking the National Scholarship Test for CAT 2015 will be eligible for waivers as follows:
100% Fee waiver on the CAT Classroom program for city Topper
Assured waiver for every test-taker
Terms & Conditions :
This waiver cannot be combined with any other waivers that would be available to a student as per regular waiver policy.
City Topper must have scored at least 60% of the total marks to be eligible for 100% waiver. Else the student will be eligible for a 50% waiver only.
The waiver can only be applied to CAT 2015 classroom programs.
The waiver is not transferable or redeemable.
CAT 2015, the entrance exam for IIMs & other top B-Schools, is expected to be conducted during October to November 2015 for admissions to the 2016-17 academic calendar. The CAT is a computer based test and is conducted at venues across India during a 25 day test window starting from mid of October. A candidate can appear for CAT only once during the testing window.
To appear for the CAT, the candidate must either hold a Bachelor’s degree or must be completing the final year of bachelor’s degree examination by Jun 2016.
Structure and Pattern of CAT :
From 2009 onwards CAT has become a computer based test wherein subjects are subdivided into different areas i.e.: Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Ability. It’s a test of 140 minutes consisting of 60 questions in two timed sections.
The test consists of two sections:

Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning 70 min 30 questions
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation:
In this section you will be presented with 30 multiple choice questions with 4 options to choose from. Quantitative part is designed to test your content and analytical knowledge of basic math concepts, including arithmetic, algebra and geometry while Data interpretation tests your ability to comprehend the data sets and arrive at logical conclusions.
Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning:
In this section you will be presented with 30 multiple choice questions with 4 options to choose from. Verbal Ability part is designed to test your knowledge of basic grammar and comprehension skills while Logical Reasoning tests your ability to critically analyse and interpret verbal and non-verbal information .
Candidates will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section which will have an on-screen countdown timer. Within the 70 min provided for the section, candidates can review the answers. Once the time ends for the first section, they will move to the second section and will no longer be able to go back.
