The Sanskriti Pratishthan is inviting the applications for the Smt Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship in Indian Classical Music and Dance. This fellowship is for those meritorious students who wants to show their talent and skill through this fellowship programme. All the young artists who wants to contribute towards enriching their talent and art form can apply for this fellowship. This fellowship scheme is managed and organized by the Sanskriti Pratishthan, who has given the similar awards and fellowships for arts, performing arts, culture, media and social activism from past 30 years.
The main objective of this Fellowship scheme is to motivate and encourage all those young, talented and promising artists to develop their skill and capability by providing them the resources and time which is to dedicated to the art. This Fellowship provides a grant of Rs 1,00,000 lac for all the eligible and talented candidates.
All those candidates who are interested in this Fellowship programme are informed that this is the open invitation to all Indian Nationals from any generation of Indian Classical Music or Dance. Proposals that further the objectives of the program are welcome. All the eligible candidate must minimum 2 or 3 years of formal training in Indian classical Music or Dance. The candidate must between 25 to 40 years maximum to apply for this fellowship.The eligible candidate is expected to have given minimum 2-3 his/her solo performances to credit in the same field.
The eligible and talented candidates will be facilitated to obtain the guidance from any institute or college to polish his/her style. It is opted that it could be a residency programme which runs for 3 months, and which can be extended for another couple of months.
How to Apply
The eligible candidates are informed that they must send their 2 copies of CV, a CD or DVD of their recitals and also they are required to write at least 500 words to explain their project and experience.
All candidates are suggested that they have to provide their postal address and contact numbers along with their valid email id to facilitate the contact. You are also require to submit your few previous work samples or performances , so that according to that also the selection process will be done. Please send your two referees name and their details like their address/telephone numbers,email id etc.
The filled applications will be titled with ‘Sanskriti – Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship’ on the front side of an envelope by post.
Terms and Conditions:
The time duration of this Fellowship will be going to held 10 months. The scholarship grant of Rs. 1,00,000 lac will be provided to eligible candidates in 2 installments process. The 1st installment of Rs 50,000/- will be provided at the time of commencement of the fellowship programme and a short mid-term progress report will be required.
The 2nd installment will be provided after the submission of project report when the fellow may be requested to give a recital.
The applicants are suggested to sign the agreement with Sanskriti Pratishthan pertaining to a regular flow of work during the Fellowship period. The candidate should not be holding another Fellowship or working on any other project at the same time.
All candidates are informed that they must mail their CV and a short detail of their project proposal to Sanskriti Head Office. The applicants are informed that their filled application must have the title ‘Sanskriti-Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship’ on the envelope when it will be sent by post and in subject line if sent through email on email@example.com
