The state govt and Welfare Department has recently announced the Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for those students who are belongs to minority communities and economically weaker section. These students are unable to pursue their higher education expenses due to low income and backward caste.

Now all the Applications are invited from students of N.C.T. of Delhi and who belongs to Minority Communities notified by the Central Government such as  (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Parsi, Buddhist & Jain), pursuing education from class I to Class X in Government/Aided School/Institute or Private School/Institute recognized by approved for awarding Pre-Matric scholarship by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Al the eligible pre-matric minority students  form the schools affiliated to Municipal corporation of Delhi can now easily submit their application forms to the Head of school/Principal who can submit the consolidated proposal to Zone concerned.

All the eligible pre-matric minority students in govt affiliated schools of N.D.M.C.  can now submit their application forms to Head of School Principal who are able to submit the consolidated proposal to Deputy Education officer (General), Department of Education, 101 Floor, Palika 1 kendra, Sansad Marg, New Delhi.

This scholarship scheme is specially designed for those students who are belongs to minority community and having domicile of N.C.T. of Delhi. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to award scholarship to those meritorious students who are actually belongs to economically weaker sections of minority communities just to enable them to pursue education from Class I to X.


Here we are providing you some important eligibility points which will assist you to apply for the same:

(a) The scholarship will be awarded to those students who are pursuing their studies from class 1st to 10th from Government /aided/recognized private schools/institute.
(b) The maintenance and other allowance will be credited to the student‘s bank account.
(c) If any student want to be eligible, then they have to scored atleast  50% marks in the previous final examination. In case of students of Class I, only income criteria would be applicable.
(d) A scholarship holder are also informed that if they hold some other scholarship/stipend then in that case they will not avail this scholarship scheme.
(e) The student’s parental annual income, from all sources, should not exceed Rs.1.00.000  lakh, Inter-selection weight-age is to be given to poverty rather than marks.
(f)  There will be  30% of scholarship will be reserved for only girl students. In case girl students are not available for these schemes then the scholarship will be awarded to any eligible boy student(s).
(g) The scholarship scheme will not be awarded to more than 2 students in a same family.
(h) Those lucky and successful students who have been selected for the academic year scholarship during 2009-10, 2010-11. 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14 successfully advanced to next class may apply for RENEWAL under this scheme.
(i) Student must give their bank details to avail the facilities and they must verified their bank details.
