National Overseas Scholarship 2015-2016 under Central Sector Plan for disabled students

The concerned department of Social Justice & Empowerment, provides the unique Central Sector Plan Scheme of National Overseas Scholarship for those students who are Disabled. The main motive of this scheme is to provide financial assistance for the students who are practising the Master’s level courses and Ph.D outside the INDIA.

Under this Scheme, all the talented and eligible candidates who are disabled will get the financial assistance to pursue their higher education in Abroad.
There are various field of the higher studies which are furnished below:
** Agricultural Science and Medicine
** Engineering and Management
** Commerce, Accounts and Finance
** Humanities, Social Science and Fine Arts
** Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences

Number of Scholarship:

There will be 20 scholarships is distributed every year under the Central Sector Plan Scheme.

From these 20 scholarships there will be 6 scholarships will reserved for female applicants. And if there will any non availability of female applicants then in that case the award will be distributed amongst the selected eligible male applicants.

Distribution of Scholarship between the fields of Study:

For Engineering & Management there will be total 6 scholarships will be distributed to girls candidate – VH,HH & OH – 02 each

For Humanities, Social Science & Fine Arts – it will be distributed to total 4, girl candidates – 01 VH,HH & OH – 01 each

For Pure Sciences & Applied Sciences – it will be distributed to Total 03 girl candidates – 01, VH,HH & OH – 01 each

Agricultural Science & Medicine – it will be distributed to total 03, girl candidates – 01 VH,HH & OH – 01 each

For Commerce, Accounting and Finance – it will be distributed to Total 04, girl candidates – 01 VH,HH & OH – 01

Eligibility Criteria for National Overseas Scholarship:

Required Qualification
For Ph.D. – The candidates must have 1st class position or scored minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master’s Degree. The first priority will be provided to those candidate who are having experience

For Masters’ Degree: – The candidate must secured minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant Bachelor’s Degree. First priority will be given to those candidate who are having experience, and particularly to those candidates who are on lien with their existing post and employer.

Age Eligibility-
All candidates are informed that they must below the age of 35 years.

The annual income of candidate’s parent/guardian should not be more than Rs.6,00,000/- per annum from all sources.
All candidates are required to attach the latest tax evaluation along with latest monthly salary slip which can be obtained from the employer with the filled application.
Note: There can be only two children with disabilities from the same family are able to apply for this award. Applicants are suggested to submit the self declaration. All the eligible students will get this just once. Applicant is not eligible to get this award for the second or subsequent time.

Amount of Scholarship:
The eligible and deserving candidate will get Annual Maintenance Allowance of Rs. 15,400/- for United States of America and other countries.
The Annual Maintenance Allowance of GBP 9,900/- will be given for United Kingdom
The annual Contingency Allowance will be provided to the eligible candidates of US $1500/- per annum for US and other countries.
Annual Contingency Allowance of GBP 1100/- per annum will be provided for the candidates going to UK (United Kingdom)

Time Duration:

The students will get the financial assistance which is till the completion of course / research or the following period, whichever is earlier;-
Ph.D – 4 Years
Master’s Degree – 3 years
