tnebnet.org : Process to Pay Online Electricity Bill in Tamil Nadu
As you all know that paying electricity bills by visiting the bill office is such a difficult task for each and every consumer. Here e have given you the complete process which is furnished step by step along with screenshot regarding the the electricity bill paying via online mode. So now there is no need to waste your precious time while standing in queue for a long hours in electricity bill office more than hours in EB office. Just follow the below instructions we clearly mentioned everything to make this process easy even for first time users.
Step 1: First you are required to click here for Electricity Bill Online : http://www.tnebnet.org/awp/login
First you are required to click on above link as it will take you to official website of TNEB where you can pay the required amount which is to be paid. You are not required to pay the bill as a guest, you need to simply register for new user and those who are already registered users can simply make a payment at this segment.
Here we are providing you the process from which you can register for a new user.
Once you visit on the above page you need to click as a New User as shown in the above screenshot, In Next it will ask you to select the concerned region which as shown in screenshot.
After selecting a another window will open with 8 regions name along with their code, and you need to select your concerned region.
After choosing the region you are required to enter your consumer number. If you know that how to enter the number then you are required to enter the consumer number and also fill the other required details in it.
Now you need to take your last month Electricity bill, you will find below number in format xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx as shown in below picture.
The Consumer no is the number which is present in the field 2, just enter this number without “-“ symbol. All you need to dois to click check the rest of the detail.
After this the status of the service will be displayed with name and address of that consumer number. If it is showing the accurate details then click on confirm button.
After that a form will be appeared on your screen, you must need to fill the necessary details in the form. Kindly fill all mandatory fields and click on submit button.
Important fields are Consumer’s Name, valid email id, password, resident address, pin code, state and country
After submitting all the required and important details you will receive a verification mail on your link, kindly click the link you received in your mail it will activates your user id.
Again you need to go on a login page by using the link present at the top and login using username and password, then you will find a page similar to below screen shot.
Please click the orange color symbol, and on next page you will required to select a payment gateway to pay such bill. TNEB provides 3 options to pay bill such as debit/ credit card or net banking.
Pay with credit/debit card:
First tab will provide these given options which is provided for these options, It shows the four payment gateways which are furnished below:
1.Bank of Baroda payment gateway — transaction charge: 1.2359 %
2.IDBI payment gateway — transaction charge: 1.1364%
3.Axis bank payment gateway — transaction charge: 1.1364%
4. ICICI bank gateway — transaction charge: 2.0946%
You are required to choose any one above option. It is just a payment gateway, so click anyone option even if you hold other bank debit cards like SBI,KVB,etc.., on the next page you need to mention the required details like card holder name, number, cvv and expiry date to pay such fees.
After the successful transaction of the payment you will receive the receipt.
Pay via Net banking:
If you are going tp pay with net banking option then an extra amount will not be detected for transaction charge. It shows in second payment option page. Please select your bank and also provide the required credentials and submit the details to get your online receipt.
After the successful payment “Rs.nil” or ”0” will be displayed in bill amount column of your account page.
