wellsmountainfoundation.org : Wells Mountain Foundation Empowerment Through Education Scholarships for Developing Countries 2015

This is the highly competitive scholarship opportunity which is specially designed for students in developing countries. This scholarship supports the students who earns the 1st diploma or Bachelor’s degree. This scholarship award the last throughout rest of the years of undergraduate education level.

 An Ideal Candidate can be male or female, from a country in the developing world, who have:

  • Successfully completed his/her secondary education, with impressive and excellent grades
  • Must applying to university or is working towards earning their first undergraduate degree
  • The student must be studying in their country or another country in the developing world
  • Students must have the plans to live and work in their own country after they completed their graduate
  • Student has participated in volunteer service prior to applying for this scholarship and is willing to continue to engage in community service while receiving the ETE Scholarship
  • Student have some funds which is available for their education, but will not be able to go to school or continue without assistance
There will be around 20- 25 scholarships will be awarded each year. Our maximum scholarship is $3,000 USD.
Scholarships support:
The scholarship avails various facilities and these are given below:
• Tuition and fees
• Books and materials
• Other costs
Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities:
  • Students must maintain good grades in all university studies
  • Students must be an ambassador for community service and engagement
  • Students must perform, record and document 100 hours of community service activities throughout the year
  • Student must have completed their Academic Semester Report & Community Service Report for WMF Scholars
Important Dates
  • Deadline: April 1, 2015
  • Review process: April—July, 2015
  • Announcement of ETE Scholarship recipients: August 1, 2015
  • Scholarship installments provided in the month of September and February of every year

Here are the following required elements for an application to be considered complete:

  • Clear personal photo
  • 2 essays
  • 2015 Application form
  • Personal essay statement
  • 2 recommendation letters*
  • Official transcript of grades from secondary school
  • Official grading key to interpret grades**

All students are informed that their applications must be completed in English only . All documents can be supplied in other languages,with official English translations.
