The Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board are introducing electronic bill payment of water in the Hyderabad, India.

Customers can make their payments through their credit and debit cards of ICICI and UTI banks. Even customers can also select for the electronic clearance service mode where the amount would be deducted directly from their bank accounts.

Now you don’t have to stand in a long queues in a water supply office to pay the bills and to know more about the water bills and their status. Now one can easily get the details and pay the water bills through online. The HMWSSB is now offering for its number of customers to pay the bill payment options. Only you need to select that which one of the following is the best payment option for you which is near to your district:

Guidelines :

HMWSSB-  The Water Bill Payment through Real Time Gross settlement (RTGS) and National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) facility is now available for customers. And it is decided to give  facilities to all HMWSSB customers to pay the water bill payment through this  NEFT/RTGS and by giving the recent NEFT/RTGS payment channel which is being used by Govt. consumers.


Important Steps for making payment through NEFT/RTGS which are as below :

Now all the HMWSSB customers can make their water bill payments very easily  though the NEFT/ RTGS channel by just giving NEFT/RTGS application request in favour of HMWSSB at their respective bank branch with the NEFT/RTGS account details and it has been  printed on the water bill which is  issued by HMWSSB. The  customer are requested to use the account details which are mentioned on their water bill only as account number is customer specific.Ex given below:

The water bill account number consists the 15 digits. And the  first 4 digits are HMWSSB account code which is  issued by the bank and this is same for other consumers also. The next two digits shows the Division code and the remaining 9 digits will be the CAN of the consumer.

a. The customers are required to give the NEFT/RTGS important instructions every time which they are desire to make payment to their banker.
b.  The respective Bank manager will mail the details of the paid customers which  shows the CAN number and  paid amount through NEFT/RTGS on daily basis to the Director (Finance), all the O&M GMs, CGM(Rev), GM(R), GM(IT) by mail.

c. The respective bank branch is providing the customized MIS in SFTP (Secured File Transfer Protocol) format on the hour basis for easy and simple upload in the HMWSSB systems without manual interaction.
d. HMWS&SB sends the SMS alerts to the consumer mobile number and the concerned O&M General Managers about the NEFT/RTGS payment transaction will make in couple of hours. Then the Consumers can download their payment receipts after 24 hours that is one day from HMWSSB Official website www.hyderabadwater.gov.in (select customer services and click on NEFT/RTGS receipt)
e.  The concerned O&M GMs are completely responsible for raising the demand, collections and reconcillating the amount paid through NEFT/RTGS.
f.  GM(IT) shall take necessary or important action with in 24 hours for automatic updation of customer ledger with data sent by Axis bank through SFTP hourly and printing of NEFT or RTGS account details on the bills of customers.

g. O&M GMs, CGM (Finance) & CGM (Rev) should take mandatory Reconciliation process of the NEFT or RTGS transactions regularly.
